- Lead the installation, configuration, and integration of IoT sensors/devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Design, develop, and validate IoT solution architectures (hardware & software) to meet operational and business requirements.
- Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hardware, software, and firmware issues, providing expert-level resolutions.
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs, including PCB circuit analysis, software configuration, and firmware upgrades.
- Manage and optimize data communication infrastructure, including server configurations, networking protocols, and security measures.
- Develop and oversee maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance procedures for IoT devices.
- Provide high-level customer support, training, and technical consultation on IoT systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert in IoT hardware, sensors, and communication technologies, advising internal teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain and update detailed technical documentation, reports, and service records.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers, hardware providers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration and execution.
- Support the continuous improvement of IoT solutions, contributing to research, development, and innovation initiatives.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead IoT device and sensor setup, management, and optimization.
- Define and maintain IoT device requirements, specifications, and best practices.
- Provide expert-level technical support for IoT system deployments and maintenance.
- Drive new IoT product development and system enhancements.
- Establish and maintain strong communication channels with hardware providers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards in IoT system implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics, IT, RF, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Min. 5 years of experience in system integration, field service engineering, or on-site project execution.
- Proven expertise in IoT systems, RF technologies, and embedded systems development.
- Strong knowledge of geolocation systems, UWB, BLE, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Advanced experience with networking technologies (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, DHCP, DNS, VPNs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with hardware/software vendors.
- Independent, resourceful, and innovative mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
